యుగాది

బ్రహ్మ" గత ప్రళయం పూర్తి అయిన తర్వాత తిరిగి సృష్టి ప్రారంభించు సమయాన్ని బ్రహ్మకల్పం అంటారు. ఇలా ప్రతికల్పంలోను మొదటవచ్చేది యుగాదిని యుగానికి ఆదిగా, ప్రారంభ సమయంగా "ఉగాది" అని వ్యవహరిస్తూ ఉంటారు. ఈ పర్వదినం మనకు చైత్రమాసంలో ప్రారంభమవడం వల్ల ఆ రోజు నుంచి తెలుగు సంవత్సర ఆరంభం దినంగా పరిగణిస్తాం.

అందుచేత ఈ ఉగాది పర్వ శుభదినాన అందరూ ప్రాతఃకాలమున నిద్రలేచి అభ్యంగనస్నానమాచరించి నూతన వస్త్రములు ధరించి మంగళ ప్రదమైన మావిడాకులు రంగవల్లికలు ముంగిట అలంకరించుకుని వసంతలక్ష్మిని స్వాగతిస్తూ.. షడ్రచులతో సమ్మిళతమైన ఉగాది ప్రసాదాన్ని, పంచాగానికి, సంవత్సర దేవతకు నివేదనచే తమ తమ భావజీవితాలు మృదుమధురంగా సాగించాలని ఆకాంక్షిస్తూ, ఉగాది పచ్చడి స్వీకరిస్తూ ఉంటారు.

ఈ ఉగాది పచ్చడిని వైద్యపరంగా పరిశీలిస్తే ఇది వ్యాధినిరోధక శక్తిని ఇస్తుందని కూడా చెప్తారు. ఆ పచ్చడిలోని షడ్రరుచులలోని తీపి-చేదులో మానవ మనుగడలకు ప్రతీకలై నిలుస్తూ ఉంటాయని అంటుంటారు.

ఇక తెలుగువారి సంప్రదాయాల్లో మరో ముఖ్యమైన విషయం పంచాంగ శ్రవణం. ఉగాది నాడు అందరూ కలిసి నిష్ణాతులైన జ్యోతిష్య పండిత శ్రేష్టులను ఆహ్నానించి వారిని సన్మానించి ఒక పవిత్ర ప్రదేశమందు పంచాంగ శ్రవణము చేస్తారు. ఆ రోజు అందరూ ఆ నూతన సంవత్సరంలోని శుభశుభాలను తెలుసుకుని దానికి అనుగుణంగా వారి భావిజీవితాన్ని తీర్చిదిద్దుకునేందుకు అంకురార్పణలు చేస్తారు.

ఈ పంచాంగ శ్రవణంలోని పంచ అంగాల వల్ల, తిథితో సంపదను, వారంతో ఆయుష్షు, నక్షత్రంతో పాపప్రక్షాళ, యోగం వలన వ్యాధి నివృత్తి కావడం, కరణంవల్ల గంగాస్నానం చేసినంత పుణ్యఫలాన్ని అందిస్తుందని పలువురి విశ్వాసం. మరి ఈ ఉగాది సర్వులకు ఆయురారోగ్యాలు, సంపదలు, సుఖమయ జీవనాన్ని అందించాలని ఆశిస్తూ.. ఉగాది పర్వదిన శుభాకాంక్షలు..!

కమ్మగా పాడే కోయిలనడిగాను, నీ తీయని మాటలతో నను మురిపించేది ఎప్పుడని ... 

చల్లగా వీచే చిరుగాలిని అడిగాను , నీ చల్లని చూపుతో నను తాకేది ఎప్పుడని.. 

వర్షించే మేఘాన్ని అడిగాను , నీ నవ్వుల జల్లుల్లో నను తడిపేది ఎప్పుడని ... 

హాయిని పంచే వెన్నెలని అడిగాను , ఆ వెన్నల్లో హాయిగా ఊసులడేది ఎప్పుడని ... 

పరుగులు తీస్తున్న సెలయేటిని అడిగాను , నీ పరుగు నా కోసమేనా ? అని ...

నాలో ఉన్న నా ప్రాణమైన నీకు తెలిపాను , నీలో ఉన్న నీ ప్రాణం నేనేనని , 

నా దరి చేరమని ..... నను బ్రతికించమని ......

Sounds @ night

               When sun appears ti us we call it Day. All human beings prefer to do work in during the day time. Animals and birds search for food and hunt animals in day only. Every one is busy with their work at day only. They take some rest after their long working hours. After sun sets slowly, slowly everyone hurries to reach their homes. Birds and animals also reach their nests and homes. So night becomes dark and calm. In the day time all are busy with their work. We are not able to hear all sounds like dogs barking, birds chirping, bees buzzing and ticking of the clock are audible during the day time.

                

                I am writing about the sounds when I had experienced. Last night i did not sleet well. I was rolling on the bed. Suddenly I heard a baby crying. I was scarred on hearing the crying at midnight. I came to the verandah and saw all around. It was a cat. I stood in the balcony and I started thinking. Cats also have some problem. That's why they were crying. In the mean time one bird started to chirping and immediately all the birds start chirping. I thought they were passing the message. I came inside the house, I hear the driping of water in a steel bowl. I tightened the tap and came into the hall and switched on the T.V. Suddenly one cricket came and screeching near the ear. I could not see that insect, two to three times I flapped my hand and it did not go. So I switched off the T.V and came to bed and I tried to sleep. Then I heard the ticking of the clock. It was a rhythiic sound.The needle moves uniformly. I thought about the clock. It never stops, It moves uniformly. It gives good message for us. 

After that I fell asleep. 

Books are Man's Best Friend

Books are the man's soul mate. Books and readers are the best friends for each other. At the age of three years, one fine auspicious day first time we make children read and write. Mothers tell the stories and lullabies to their children at bed time.Form the childhood we teach about the values of books. The children carry their books in their bag to school, take care of them and covering and attaching the label with their names and they feel a pride in its ownership.

Books play the most important role in our life. Books help us to give the knowledge. We can read a book while relaxing, leisure time and they provide good source of knowledge. Books are our teachers, friends and guides and philosopher also. They provide enriching experience and thoughts. 

There are many kinds of books. They can inspire us to think. They have morals of life. They tickle you laughter and bring you tears also. Reading is an exercise for the mind also. It will improve our language, vocabulary also.

A library is a house of books. There are many types of books available. Some are novels, some are magazines, some are articles and religious books. Books can provide us company in good and bad times. They refreshes our minds. Many times, when we travel by bus or train, books provide the best time pass and a good source of entertainment for us. It is very essential to read a variety of books. By just reading a book is of no use. It should be properly understood with interest.

Epics, like Ramayana and Mahabharata are inspiration to all of us. The holy books like Bhavadgita, Bible, Qur'an teach us about the different religions, History books teach us about the past. We can not imagine the role that books play in our life. Some times, while reading a book we go into a different world. It enhance our experience. we   share the joys and sorrows of the author. We become so engrossed in books, live in that world till the book is over.

Books are really our best friends. Books always want its readers to gain some knowledge from it. There are a non living thing, but a precious treasure. They silently talk to us. They are the non-judgmental and do not get angry, jealous and show partiality. They do not know the difference between poor and rich, male and female, child and adult. People who read gain knowledge. So we called "BOOKS ARE MAN'S BEST FRIEND."
